Sustainability

At Corporate Culture Australia and its brands, including Government Furniture, we are committed to social responsibility and sustainability. We recognise the urgent need to address man-made climate change and believe that every business has a crucial role in protecting our planet and its people.

Our commitment to sustainability is evident in the significant steps we’ve already taken. We have transitioned to green energy providers across most of our locations, achieved interim certification for ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards, and joined the UN Global Compact, reinforcing our dedication to ethical and responsible business practices.

Beginning in 2024, we will be implementing a comprehensive Supplier Code of Conduct, ensuring fair treatment, reasonable working conditions, and pay for all workers involved in our operations. We are also committed to minimising
any adverse environmental impacts throughout our supply chain.

A key aspect of our sustainability journey is our Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). We recognise the importance of reconciliation and are dedicated to fostering relationships with First Nations communities.

Our RAP focuses on education, cultural respect, and creating opportunities, with the ultimate goal of building a more inclusive and harmonious workplace. Through this plan, we are committed to making meaningful progress towards reconciliation within our organisation and beyond.

In 2024, our brand Cultivated led the way by being of the first businesses to introduce digital product passports in Australia, setting a new standard for supply chain transparency and product tracking. Over the coming years, this technology will be extended to our other brands, including Government Furniture, NAU Design and Mark Tuckey, further enhancing our commitment to transparency and accountability.

Looking ahead, Corporate Culture Australia will conduct its first comprehensive carbon footprint assessment in 2025. This will be a key step in driving positive change across our operations and brands, helping us reduce carbon emissions and integrate sustainability into every aspect of our business.
